A Remediation Field Study Demonstrating the Power of Enhanced Natural Attenuation (ENA) and In Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO)

The groundwater under a large industrial facility in Kent was contaminated with up to 8,000 µg/L of 1,2-Dichloroethane (DCA). It was determined that remediation should be undertaken to protect off-site controlled waters. Regenesis Remediation Services (RRS) were employed to complete a pump test and tracer test in order to better understand the groundwater flow and vertical delineation of the plume. A pilot-scale application of ORC Advanced was completed to determine efficacy and radius of influence. Based on the pilot results, a full-scale strategy was implemented.
