Did you know REGENESIS® employs a full laboratory, providing services to assist in the remediation of soil and groundwater at contaminated sites?
Our state-of-the-art laboratory is housed in our corporate headquarters and staffed by experienced environmental chemists, scientists, and engineers. The laboratory is outfitted with the latest analytical instrumentation, including gas chromatography with flame ionization detector; electron capture detector and mass spectrometry detector (GC-FID, GC-ECD and GCMS); liquid chromatography with evaporative light scattering detector; UV-visible spectroscopy; aquifer simulation vessels; media columns and related test equipment. Our team of scientists is well-equipped to perform the tests and experiments to meet your needs.
With a wide range of treatability testing options, many clients choose REGENESIS for conducting Soil Oxidant Demand (SOD) and Total Oxidant Demand (TOD) testing to determine a remediation approach. The SOD test screens the soil to determine if a site is suitable for persulfate-based in situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) using PersulfOx®. And TOD testing determines the amount of oxidant consumed by the matrix and screens the site to confirm whether the percarbonate-based ISCO technology, RegenOx®, is a suitable candidate.
Treatability testing is another useful tool for demonstrating the ability of a particular technology to degrade or remove contaminant mass at a given site. All reaction set-up and manipulations are performed in our laboratory. A standard bench test includes determining a baseline concentration of the contaminants of interest, and comparing untreated site material with material that has been treated with REGENESIS’ product(s). A standard bench test analyzes for one of the following contaminants: total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH-gasoline or TPH-diesel), BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes), TPH-g with BTEX, or CVOCs (chlorinated volatile organic compounds). A final written report including experimental design, tabulation of results and data interpretation is presented at the conclusion of testing and provided to the client. Through testing the team can determine the best course of action, product dosing calculations, and in some cases advance research and development efforts.
REGENESIS laboratory services also routinely tests client project samples and offers experiments on anomalies to ensure project success in the field. Testing is an important component to any project, and the team offers a wealth of experience, having processed and evaluated hundreds of samples for clients worldwide.
