ISCO Reagent Selection - What Your Site Might be Telling You

  • Tighter soil types and restricted pore space may lend itself better to lower volume, persulfate-based reagents such as PersulfOx.
  • Sorbed mass in soils may be better suited for a reagent like RegenOx or PetroCleanze with more detergent-like properties to assist in cleansing the soil.
  • If contact with underground infrastructure such as piping, tanks, communication lines, etc. is unavoidable, then corrosive, persulfate-based chemistry may not be a good fit. However, a percarbonate-based oxidant like RegenOx can be equally effective as persulfate chemistry and is highly-compatible with subsurface infrastructure.
Get the details about various chemical oxidants by accessing the white papers below.

Non-Detect Levels Reached After 1 Month using Sorption and Biodegradation

  • PlumeStop Liquid Activated Carbon and ORC Advanced® applied on-site
  • Site closure needed at active petroleum service station site with persistent, residual hydrocarbons
  • Remediation design verification testing and optimization performed by Regenesis Remediation Services
  • Benzene and TPH-d (diesel) reached non-detect after 1 month and have remained there for 3 monthly sampling events
In the client's words:
“We received the laboratory results of the first quarterly groundwater monitoring event after the injection of PlumeStop near the well (MW-1) that had elevated benzene concentrations. There was no detection of benzene above the laboratory’s method reporting limit of 2 ug/L. Also, the results of the 2 monthly groundwater samples collected from MW-1 had the same results. I’m impressed with the results.”

- Craig Hultgren, Senior Geologist/ Project Manager, Hydrocon

Update your old MSDS Sheets with Our New Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

The SDS (which replaced the MSDS) includes important health and safety information such as the properties of a chemical; physical, health, and environmental health hazards; protective measures; and safety precautions for handling, storing, and transporting a chemical. The information contained in the SDS is required to be in English however it may be provided in other languages as well.
