REGENESIS Wins 2026 BIG Innovation Award for Full-Spectrum PFAS Treatment

More than 90 PFAS-contaminated sites treated, with hundreds more planned

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., October 21, 2026 — REGENESIS has won the 2026 BIG Innovation Award from Business Intelligence Group for its Colloidal Activated Carbon Full-Spectrum PFAS Treatment. Recognized as a Top 10 Innovator, the company is advancing how the environmental industry addresses PFAS contamination through its PlumeStop® and SourceStop® technologies.

REGENESIS’ colloidal activated carbon technologies have been used to treat more than 90 PFAS-contaminated sites globally, with hundreds more planned. Applications span airports, industrial facilities and military installations, helping protect groundwater and nearby community water supplies.

Often called “forever chemicals,” PFAS resist natural degradation and can spread through groundwater. Conventional treatment typically requires continuous pumping, aboveground equipment and management of PFAS-contaminated waste.

Alternatively, REGENESIS treats PFAS directly underground. A proprietary formulation of microscopic, activated carbon particles in a polymer suspension capture and immobilize contaminants, creating permeable treatment zones that filter groundwater as it flows naturally through the subsurface. Commercially available as SourceStop and PlumeStop, colloidal activated carbon is a patented technology used to target contamination at its source as well as intercept PFAS migrating downstream. Together, they reduce reliance on energy-intensive pumping and ongoing waste disposal.

“This recognition reflects the impact our technologies are having on PFAS remediation,” said Scott Wilson, President and CEO of REGENESIS. “With more than 90 sites treated and hundreds more planned, we’re helping environmental professionals deliver effective PFAS treatment solutions while reducing the cost, energy use and waste associated with traditional approaches.”

Field applications highlighted in the award submission achieved PFAS concentration reductions exceeding 99% at multiple sites. These results demonstrate how in-place treatment can deliver rapid risk reduction while limiting disruption to ongoing site operations.
