A patented colloidal activated carbon material that locks PFAS contamination in place at the source, preventing migration and reducing risk.

Engineered for rapid results and long-term treatment.

SourceStop® stops PFAS from leaching into groundwater, protecting downgradient receptors. Its advanced colloidal activated carbon (CAC) technology penetrates and coats soils for fast, long-lasting treatment. Available in liquid or solid form, SourceStop offers an easy, cost-effective solution for PFAS sites.

SourceStop successfully reduces PFAS leaching by 99% at Michigan national guard site

SourceStop Solid

What does it treat?

PFAS contaminated soils in the source area

What is it?

SourceStop Solid is an engineered aggregate combining colloidal activated carbon (CAC) and powdered activated carbon (PAC). Its particles are designed to be low-dust, highly wettable, and easy to handle with standard site equipment.

How does it work?

When mixed into impacted soils, the aggregate rapidly disintegrates on contact with water, releasing sub-2-micron colloidal carbon that penetrates and coats soil particles. This process immobilizes PFAS, reducing leachability and preventing migration into underlying groundwater.

Is it right for my site?

SourceStop Solid is ideal for remediating PFAS-impacted soils in source areas. It can be used independently or combined with SourceStop Liquid or PlumeStop for complete source and plume control.

SourceStop Liquid

What does it treat?

PFAS contaminated capillary fringe and groundwater in the source area.

What is it?

SourceStop Liquid is a suspension of sub-2-micron colloidal activated carbon particles in water. The small particle size allows it to penetrate and evenly coat soil and aquifer solids in source zones

How does it work?

Injected at low pressure into the capillary fringe or aquifer, SourceStop Liquid forms a thin activated-carbon film on soil and aquifer materials. This film rapidly adsorbs PFAS, preventing leaching into groundwater and blocking further plume migration. It can also be spray-applied to excavation bases to contain PFAS during soil handling.

Is it right for my site?

SourceStop Liquid is ideal for PFAS source areas where contamination impacts the capillary fringe, shallow aquifers, or excavation zones. It is adaptable to site conditions and can be used alone or in combination with SourceStop Solid or PlumeStop for complete source and plume control.
