Board of Directors

The REGENESIS board of directors is responsible for overseeing management in the development of business plans, policy objectives, and business strategy. Through regular meetings, the board ensures effective organizational planning and sees that company resources are managed properly and are in-line with company goals. The following individuals bring a breadth of skills, experience and diversity to REGENESIS and have been instrumental in the growth and vitality of the organization.

Gavin S. Herbert
Chairman of the Board


Gavin Herbert is the Chairman and Founder of REGENESIS. Mr. Herbert spent over 50 years in the pharmaceutical industry. He was the Co-Founder of Allergan® and was the CEO from 1957-1991 and a Board member and Chairman Emeritus until 2014. Mr. Herbert is the Chairman of Rogers Gardens in Newport Beach. He is the Co-Founder and Chairman of TechImmune, a vaccine company at the University of California, Irvine.

Mr. Herbert previously served on the Board of SmithKline Beckman and the Beckman Foundation and Beckman Instruments. In addition, he served on the Board of the Nixon Library and a Research Board to prevent blindness. He is a University of Southern California graduate and a Lifetime Trustee.

Scott B. Wilson


Mr. Wilson is a widely published expert with 25 years of experience in applied microbiology and bioremediation processes. He is a recognized thought leader in the commercialization of environmental technologies with a proven track record spanning three decades. As Vice President of Remediation Technology with Groundwater Technology, Inc., he led the team of scientists and engineers who developed GTI’s industry-leading in situ bioremediation processes. He has overseen the design and implementation of more than 100 innovative full-scale remediation projects employing advanced technologies. He was appointed to provide technical oversight for the USEPA Bioaction Committee and served for eight years on the faculty of the National Water Well Association (now the NGWA) and served as a lecturer at the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Wilson received a M.S. from the University of Texas at El Paso, a B.A. from the University of San Diego and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Gavin S. Herbert III


Mr. Herbert is President, Chief Executive Officer and co-owner of Roger’s Gardens, a world-class retail garden center located in Newport Beach, California. Roger’s Gardens is consistently ranked as one of the top specialty home and garden centers in America. Prior to joining Roger’s Gardens, Gavin led Plant Research Laboratories, a developer of horticultural products and supplier to leading retail organizations such as Wal-Mart, Lowes, and Home Depot. While at Plant Research Laboratories, Mr. Herbert guided the development of Oxygen Release Compound (ORC®), the world’s first patented in situ remediation chemical formulation and the eventual spin off of REGENESIS Bioremediation Products, Inc.

Louis T. Rosso


Louis T. Rosso is the former Chairman of Beckman Instruments, and Chairman Emeritus of Beckman Coulter, Inc. While employed with Beckman Instruments, Mr. Rosso enjoyed a 40-year career, taking on the role of President in 1982 and CEO /Chairman in1988.  While at the helm, Mr. Rosso grew the company to $1.8 Billion in global l sales. As Chairman of the Rosso Family Foundation, Mr. Rosso is responsible for funding nonprofit organizations focused on education, healthcare, and veteran support. Currently, he is a Board member of REGENESIS and a former Board member of Allergan, Inc., American Health Properties, Inc., Beckman Instrument (Beckman Coulter), Pace Corporation, UC Irvine (Beckman Laser Institute) St. Jude Medical Center and Heritage Foundation and The Claremont Colleges (Harvey Mudd College and the Keck Graduate Institute).

Mr. Rosso is a veteran, having served as a jet pilot in the United States Air Force and holds a Bachelor of Science from San Francisco State University and an MBA from the University of Santa Clara.

Dr. Robert Bishop


Dr. Bishop received both a B.A. and a Ph.D. at the University of Southern California (Psychology/Biochemistry) and an MBA from the University of Miami. He began his career in research at Baxter Laboratories, and subsequently moved into management positions at American Hospital Supply Corporation and Allergan, Inc. He was the Chairman and CEO of AutoImmune Inc. from 1993 until his retirement. Dr. Bishop has served on the Board of Directors for Caliper Life Sciences, Millipore Corporation and Quintiles Transnational Corporation, and also as a member of the Compass Board of Trustees for MFS Investment Management.

Mr. Chris Graham


Mr. Graham retired from REGENESIS in 2014 after serving as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer for 11 years. Prior to joining REGENESIS, he was the CFO for MicroVault, a startup web based software email security provider where he worked closely with the CEO raising $4 million from private investors and venture capital firms. From 1997 to 2001 Mr. Graham was employed as the Worldwide Operations Controller for VeriFone, a $650 million revenue division of Hewlett Packard. He was responsible for all of the accounting and reporting of its manufacturing operations in Taiwan, China, and the United States, and served as its key financial executive in managing and developing the accounting structure for its China and Taiwan subsidiaries. From 1991 to 1997 he was the Vice President and Corporate Controller for the Candle Corporation, a private global software company with global subsidiaries in Europe, Southeast Asia, Japan and Brazil. Mr. Graham was responsible for managing and developing the Company’s global financial and international tax departments as the Company’s revenues grew from $110 million to over $325 million. Before 1991 Mr. Graham worked in a variety of senior financial positions after leaving Price Waterhouse and Co. where he earned his Certified Public Accountant certification. Mr. Graham graduated from California State University Long Beach with a B.S. degree in Accounting and has been recognized as a Certified Global Management Accountant by the American Institute of CPA’s.

Richard M. Haugen


Mr. Haugen has been President of Newport Assets Inc. and PK Partners, Inc. which are private investment firms located in Newport Beach since 1999. Investments with these firms are made in all asset classes including: bonds, equities, oil and gas, real estate, energy, hedge funds and private equity. Prior to this, he was the CEO and President of a public firm, Amylin Pharmaceuticals of La Jolla, a biotechnology venture, for three years. Prior to Amylin, he spent 17 years with Allergan Inc. of Irvine culminating that career as Chief Operating Officer of this $1 billion plus global company. He spent time with Allergan in Operations, Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Strategic Marketing and General Management. He resides in Newport Beach with his wife. He has four grown children. He is presently a Board Member with Anivive Lifesciences (a private veterinary pharmaceutical company), REGENESIS (a private remediation solutions and product company), and an active Trustee for a number CRUT’s and Estates. He received his B.S. and MBA from the University of Southern California.
