Case Study Video | Award-Winning In Situ PFAS Remediation Allows Residential Site Development at an Airfield
Two airport sites in the United Kingdom were contaminated with PFAS originating from the use of Aqueous Film Forming Foams (AFFF). An in situ approach using colloidal activated carbon permeable reactive barriers (PRB) combined with successful pilot study results allowed for regulatory permission for full-scale PlumeStop PRB installations on both sites.
Free Webinar | PFAS Source Differentiation at Airports
In this recent PFAS webinar, we hosted a special presentation from leading PFAS remediation expert, Dan Schneider, Senior Principal and National Director for Site Investigation and Remediation at Terracon. His presentation discussed PFAS source differentiation at airports. He was joined by Maureen Dooley, Vice President – Industrial Sector at REGENESIS who presented on the success of REGENESIS’ proprietary PFAS treatment using advanced colloidal technologies at airport sites.
Highlights of This Free Webinar:
- An overview of the landscape of PFAS at airport sites
- Developing “Lines of Evidence” to support PFAS source identification differentiation
- PFAS desktop review progress tracker, a resource for information about potential on-and-off airport PFAS sources
- Source identification using desktop reviews, information on historical options at airport site characteristics, potential off-site sources, and laboratory analytical data
Award | REGENESIS Honored at Environment Analyst Sustainability Awards
The Sustainability Awards were presented as part of Environment Analyst’s Sustainability Delivery Summit in June. REGENESIS’ submission in the “Remediation Project of the Year” category was awarded “Highly Commended” for its successful in situ PFAS treatment using PlumeStop® at a commercial airport site. The project was less than 1/3 the cost of alternative approaches considered and represented a 98% smaller carbon footprint.
Upcoming Free Webinar | Combined In Situ Biogeochemical Reduction Solution Rapidly Mitigates Threat to River and Saves Client $380,000
Date: Thursday, July 25, 2024
Time: 11am Pacific/ 2pm Eastern
In this month’s webinar, we are pleased to have a special panel comprised of remediation experts Scott Connors, Senior Geologist at Wilcox Environmental Engineering, Brett Hicks, Central Region Manager at REGENESIS, and Todd Herrington, Director of Product Management at REGENESIS who will discuss a widely successful chlorinated solvent remediation treatment approach using advanced colloidal technologies that saved the client $380,000.
Webinar Panel Discussion Highlights:
- The use of FluxTracers results in significant adjustments to horizontal and vertical treatment intervals, saving $380,000 in injectant material
- Steps taken in the technology selection process, regulatory approval, and stakeholder buy-in, to quickly move the project forward
- Chlorinated solvent impacts were quickly addressed using strategically applied advanced colloidal technology to halt plume migration to a large nearby river
