Efficient ISCO Treatment Keeps Redevelopment Schedule of Former Gas Station on Track
Destroy a Wide-Range of Contaminants Through ISCO
PersulfOx is an advanced in situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) reagent that promotes rapid and sustained destruction of a wide-range of organic contaminants. It is an all-in-one product with a built-in catalyst which activates the sodium persulfate component and generates contaminant-destroying free radicals without the costly and potentially hazardous addition of a separate activator. The patented catalyst enhances the oxidative destruction of both petroleum hydrocarbons and chlorinated contaminants in the subsurface.
Remediation Technology Tailored to the Petroleum Industry
ORC Advanced® is an engineered, oxygen release compound designed specifically for enhanced, in situ aerobic bioremediation of petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater and saturated soils. ORC Advanced® technology and applications have been tailored around the remediation needs of the retail petroleum industry, and have resulted in decreased time to site closure, and degradation rates accelerated up to 100 times faster than natural degradation rates.
Designing Effective Plans for Your Contaminated Site
The Tech Services group at REGENESIS® provides a range of services that include evaluation of site data and information leading to the development of remedial designs, collaborating with clients on various designs and products, addressing technical questions, developing remediation design proposals, and identifying deficiencies in site data to determine optimum scope of work for design verification testing. Their Design Verification Testing process helps optimize remediation outcomes and results in overall reduction of project costs.
Brittain Griffiths – Helping Consultant Partners Through Effective Remediation Designs
Brittain Griffiths is the Technical Services Manager for the Western Region, and works within the REGENESIS® Tech Services group as a design engineer, serving as a technical resource for the Technical Sales Team and REGENESIS® Remediation Services (RRS). Brittain feels that a career in environmental remediation makes a positive impact on our planet. When it comes to small business owners who are struggling with contamination at their site, he shares “I try to figure out the least expensive option to clean their site. I figure the least I can do is to give them a solid design to effectively clean their site.”
New Webinar – NGWA Combined Remedies Presentation by Matt Burns of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff
During the NGWA/EPA workshops sponsored by REGENESIS®, Matt Burns, Practice Leader at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, discussed how the combined remedy approach to groundwater remediation optimizes contaminated site cleanup as measured by technical efficacy and sustainability. Regardless of the potential for improving site cleanups, however, there are still obstacles limiting the implementation of combined remedies. These obstacles can often be circumvented by employing multicomponent and multifunctional remedial amendment formulations delivered with a single application. Case studies are presented that demonstrate efficacy of this combined remedies approach.
