Award Winners | In Situ Remediation of VOCs Wins Prestigious 2024 Brownfield Remediation Award
In situ remediation of a former chemical works site in the UK recently won Europe’s most prestigious environmental award for Best Application of Remediation Technologies. The site was once known as one of the most environmentally contaminated sites in the UK. Remedial efforts achieved 90% TCE mass removal in 12 months which exceeded the remedial goal, allowing for site redevelopment to continue.
eBook | 7 Important Reasons to Choose In Situ PFAS Remediation vs. Pump & Treat
- In situ remediation is the lowest-cost option, representing less than 1/3 the cost vs. a pump and treat solution
- The process generates no PFAS waste materials, eliminating the need for disposal or treatment
- With no permanent equipment to maintain in situ remediation simplifies the process and eliminates the need for ongoing operation & maintenance (O&M)

Case Study | Challenging CVOC Plume Effectively Treated with Advanced Colloidal Activated Carbon PRB
Case Study Highlights:
- Hamp, Mathews, & Associates, Inc., collaborated with REGENESIS to develop a remedial approach to address the contaminant plume.
- PlumeStop PRB treats CVOCs for >3 years in high-mass-flux aquifer
- Design Verification Testing (DVT) used passive flux samplers (PFS) to better understand contaminant mass flux
- Permeable reactive barrier installed using advanced colloidal technologies demonstrates pilot test’s effectiveness
Upcoming Webinar | PFAS Regulatory Update and What’s To Come
We are pleased to have special guest speaker, Taryn McKnight, VP of Product and PFAS Practice Leader for Eurofins Environment Testing (USA). Her presentation will discuss regulatory actions at both the federal and state levels to address PFAS contamination heading into the US election in November.
Webinar Recording | Prioritizing Actions to Address Exposure to PFAS
In this webinar, we were pleased to have leading PFAS expert Ali Ling, PE, PhD, Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of St. Thomas. Her presentation discussed prioritizing actions to address exposure to PFAS. She was joined by Paul Erickson, PhD, Vice President of Research and Development at REGENESIS.
