Regenesis is pleased to announce our support and sponsorship of the 2014 David Keith Todd (DKT) Distinguished lecture series hosted by The Groundwater Resources Association of California (GRA). This unique educational opportunity is being held throughout the year in 14 locations in Northern and Southern California, including the Groundwater Conference and GRA Annual Meeting.
The DKT Lecture Series was created to honor Dr. David Keith Todd (GRA 1999 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient) for his contributions to groundwater science and technology. Once a year, this unique lectureship is awarded to qualified individuals who personify Dr. Todd’s lifelong dedication to groundwater resources. Specially created lectures are offered throughout California at universities, statewide and regional GRA events and GRA’s Annual Conference and Meeting. In 1999, Dr. Todd received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the GRA, well before passing away in 2006. Dr. Todd’s research became the basis for his textbook Groundwater Hydrology, first published in 1959 and now in its 3rd Edition. To read more about Dr. Todd and his groundwater legacy, click here.
This year’s DKT series, now in its’ fourth year, will feature Mr. Carl Hauge (Northern California), former Chief Hydrogeologist, Department of Water Resources, who will present the lecture “Groundwater – Past, Present, and Future”. Dr. Jay Famiglietti (Southern California), Professor of Earth System Science and of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Irvine, will discuss “Water in the Balance: Observing Groundwater Depletion from Space”.
