When Filippo Mantovani joined the team at REGENESIS as Remediation Services Project Technician for the Mediterranean District, he knew early on both he and the company would be an ideal match, in part because of the company’s strong reputation for it’s commitment to science-based applications and culture. He begins, “I was drawn to REGENESIS because I wanted to work in the environmental sciences field and utilize my BSc in Earth Sciences, and for me REGENESIS is the foremost leader in its field. Plus, I love the management style at REGENESIS, starting from the kindness everyone shows and how they make you feel about your work, to being encouraged to speak freely about everything, such as new ideas.” Hired in March of 2020, Mantovani appreciates the degree of precision involved in his work, while also knowing he is helping to make a positive impact on our earth’s environment. He continues, “I enjoy seeing that my work effectively counts for the team. I also like that I have the freedom to develop new solutions and ideas, and that everyone makes me feel my work counts and is considered. Plus, knowing my efforts help our planet makes it even better.”

Prior to joining REGENESIS, Mantovani gained valuable experience as an Environmental Technician, Environmental Geologist, Site Project Manager, and Field Technician with several environmental services firms. He continues, “To assist me in preparing for my current position with REGENESIS, I gained on-site experience on a variety of remediation projects, overseeing direct push work (Team Leader) and carrying out In Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) applications, permeability/conductivity tests, air & soil gas sampling, and an array of other remediation-focused tasks.” When asked what excites him most about becoming a part of the REGENESIS team, he points to the company’s reputation within the industry. “REGENESIS is actually the top choice for environmental professionals. Their commitment to developing new technologies and products is what sets them apart. Frankly, I had wanted to be a part of REGENESIS for several years.” To prepare for a career in environmental science, Mantovani began early on, in high school, earning an Industrial Chemistry diploma. He followed this with a B.Sc in Earth Sciences and Geology from the University of Ferrara, Italy and I took part in an ERASMUS, Inter-university project at Uppsala University in Sweden. In his free time, Mantovani enjoys listening to music and reading various scientific articles. He also has a passion for cycling and motorcycles as well as mountain hiking, and practices martial arts.
