As the new Central Region Technical Sales Specialist for REGENESIS, Jamie Hoffman realizes he has a unique opportunity to leverage his background as an environmental and project scientist and play a significant role in remediating subsurface contamination for our clients. He begins, “I like that REGENESIS can assist its clients in innovative, creative, and cost-effective ways to treat impacted soil and groundwater. I am also excited about the learning opportunities and applying that knowledge in a meaningful way to better support our clients.” Hoffman joined REGENESIS in June of this year, after he became impressed with the company from “talking shop” with environmental industry colleagues. He continues,

“I have two friends that work for REGENESIS and both would always have great things to say about the company. When we would catch up with one another, they always sounded excited about their work, and spoke with a certain degree of passion, which made me realize that if given the opportunity, I’d love to be a part of a team like that.”

Prior to joining REGENESIS, Hoffman worked as an environmental scientist for a respected geotechnical consulting company, where he interfaced with clients and facilitated their Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) needs. He adds, “This work entailed report writing, adhering to regulatory requirements (EPA, Clean Water Act, CERCLA, and etc.), and subsurface soil and groundwater investigations.” Earlier, he served as a project scientist for an environmental field services contractor, performing HRSC (High Resolution Site Characterization) services for engineering/consulting firms. “I also supported in- situ remediation projects as a DPT (Direct Push Technology) operator, and occasionally acted as the injection specialist on simple in-situ remediation injection projects.” His academic background includes a BS in Geography, Environmental Science, from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. He later would earn an MBA from Syracuse University, at the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. While he initially pursued a career in the oil and gas industry, he quickly realized the environmental remediation industry is the future. He shares, “Initially, following my university studies, I didn’t see myself in the environmental industry. I started out in the oil and gas industry as a Wellsite Geologist and at the time, I did not consider working in the environmental industry. Then in 2015, when crude oil prices plummeted and mass layoffs occurred, I pivoted and quickly transitioned to the environmental industry, partly because it was the next best alternative and it aligned with my skill set at the time. Although not planned, I am happy that most of my career has been in environmental remediation.” In addition to being attracted to REGENESIS’ innovative products and solutions, Hoffman also admires the level of experience the staff portrays. He continues,

“In my prior role, I would often visit the REGENESIS website and attend their webinars. I was always impressed with the staff’s in-depth knowledge in their respective field of expertise. The company also does a remarkable job positioning their products, and clearly defining their capabilities and limitations.”

Engaged to his fiancé, Hoffman lives in the Columbus, OH area, where they are proud parents of a toddler son. Outside of work, Hoffman enjoys hiking in the Hocking Hills region of Logan, OH, and weightlifting. He also enjoys spending plenty of time with his young son, adding, “Although it’s not a ‘hobby’ really, I love it, I love being a dad!” As he looks forward to his new role with the company, he is brimming with optimism, and excited to contribute to the company’s and his client’s success. He concludes, “I’m really looking forward to interfacing with the many talented people within REGENESIS, and excited to work for such a well-recognized and respected brand within the industry.”

REGENESIS is proud to welcome Jamie Hoffman to the team as its new Central Region Technical Sales Specialist and appreciates his expertise and enthusiasm in working to develop successful remediation outcomes for REGENESIS and its clients.
