When Daniel Pile discovered a job opening at REGENESIS for a Technical Sales Representative, he quickly realized his experience in environmental liability, coupled with a desire to transition into sales, would likely make him a strong candidate for the position. He begins, “My background is in environmental consulting, and for two years- prior to joining REGENESIS in October, I worked with the Environmental Liability Management team, conducting Phase I, II, and III remedial actions/investigations. I had an interest in sales, and since I knew how effective and complex REGENESIS products were from prior experience, I saw the position as a great fit.” Indeed, with a background that includes workplace, health and safety planning, soil and groundwater sampling and investigations, remediation system operation and maintenance, and multi-format report preparation, Pile was ready to pivot and apply his technical expertise in a new, yet highly related direction. He also wanted to assist more directly in a solutions-oriented capacity. He shares, “I love working with people to help find solutions to their problems.”

To prepare for a career that focused on environmental sciences, Pile attended the University of Georgia, where he earned his BS in Geology, and a certificate in Water Resources. He chose to focus on environmental  remediation in part due to his interest in preserving our planet’s natural resources. He continues, “Geologists typically go into the oil and gas or environmental fields. Since my favorite subjects in college were hydrogeology and aqueous geochemistry, and because water is one of our most important resources, I was determined to start my career in the environmental remediation sector.” When asked what he feels he will enjoy most about his new role with REGENESIS, he points to his ability to provide product recommendations that align with client’s goals. “I like that I am able to use my technical background and experience to help diagnose contaminated sites, and then work with clients to create a solution, via product recommendations, to remediate soil and ground water contamination, based on their goals.”

Outside of work, Pile enjoys a variety of activities, and is especially passionate about health and wellness. He shares, “I enjoy exercising and researching supplements for overall health and wellness. I also enjoy calisthenic and free-weight workouts. Calisthenics, which include pull-ups, push-ups, and body weight exercises, are great because they allow you to maintain a solid regimen on days you can’t make it to the gym.” With his love for water, you can also find him wake surfing or wakeboarding on Lake Lanier in GA, where he makes room for downtime with friends and family. And what excites him most about being part of the REGENESIS team? He concludes, “I am most excited about working alongside a team of very bright, friendly, and hardworking environmental professionals, and establishing positive connections with our clients.”

REGENESIS is proud to have Daniel Pile as a part of the team as a Technical Sales Representative, and the appreciates his experience in working with clients and the various departments as the company continues developing successful remediation outcomes for REGENESIS and its clients.
