From the start of the interview process for the Land Science Great Lakes Technical Sales Manager role, Noah Streich believed he offered the necessary experience to make a significant contribution to the overall success of the company’s sales goals. He begins, “The innovative technology and the niche Land Science fills is exactly where I feel my technical background and interpersonal skills can best be leveraged. But what sold me during the interview process were the people. Their great personalities and compelling questions made me feel like I would be surrounded by a smart, like-minded team.”

Following college, Noah gained extensive knowledge in materials, structural, and civil engineering while working for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation on the Quality Verification side of materials testing, as an E1 Civil Engineer. In his position with the state, Noah took on a variety of civil and structural engineering tasks for a wide range of projects related to the development and/or rehabilitation of wastewater treatment plants and sanitary sewerage systems. This experience sparked a keen interest in technology, an aspect that would eventually lead him to Land Science. He continues, “Through college I had a few internships that helped me learn the construction industry from the ground up. These opportunities offered greater experience in concrete sampling/testing as well as testing sites by establishing benchmarks with proctor compaction tests and verifying those results in the field by conducting nuclear density tests for a wide range of jobs.” His education laid the groundwork for his career earning his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

When asked what he thinks he likes most about being a part of the Land Science team, Streich points to the potential of managing and growing his own territory, with input and support from his experienced team. “The independence of controlling and building my own territory while simultaneously being able to lean on and work with a team of incredibly experienced people who are all eager to help is a rare opportunity that I’m very excited about.” He’s also looking forward to contributing toward preserving and cleaning up the environment, a cause he is passionate about. He continues, “I’ve always had a fascination with nature and a healthy respect for our planet. I chose to be a civil engineer because I wanted to have both the practical knowledge of how our planet functions as well as how we as a species choose to adapt it to fit our needs. If I have knowledge of both sides of the interaction between us and our environment, I believe I can impact decisions that will lessen our footprint and minimize harmful impacts on our surroundings.”

Residing in Wisconsin, Noah finds time away from work to enjoy an abundance of lakes and boating opportunities, especially in the northern part of the state. He shares, “My favorite memories always come from being on a boat or near a lake, and fortunately, I get to spend a lot of together time with family and friends in northern Wisconsin.” He can also be found playing golf, where he enjoys the beautiful greenery of the state’s surrounding landscape. “I enjoy being able to get outside on many of the nice courses here in WI, and I also take rock climbing or ski snowboarding trips with friends to Idaho and Utah.”

Summing up his thoughts on his new role with Land Science, Noah is grateful for what he’s sure will be a challenging yet rewarding career opportunity. He concludes, “Shifting from engineering to sales was a big change, as this is a whole new style of learning and much faster paced. Everyone has been genuinely friendly and eager to help make this transition easier, and it has made me more excited to grow into a valued member of the team!

Land Science is proud to welcome Noah Streich to the team as Technical Sales Manager, Great Lakes District, and we appreciate his experience and versatility in developing successful vapor intrusion mitigation outcomes for Land Science and its clients.
