Petroleum Hydrocarbon Remediation Advances: Tools & Lessons from the Field
Date: Thursday, May 15, 2025
Time: 11:00 GMT / 12:00 CET
Language: English
Join us and guest speakers Jack Sheldon (Senior Consultant, Antea Group) and Dora Taggart (President & CEO, Microbial Insights) for a webinar on the advances in petroleum hydrocarbon remediation. Dora and Jack will discuss the science of petroleum hydrocarbon remediation and lessons learned from field applications of PetroFix.
Key points covered:
- The science of petroleum hydrocarbon biodegradation – complexity of petroleum hydrocarbon mixtures and biodegradative pathways
- Lessons learned – Field applications using colloidal activated carbon to treat petroleum hydrocarbons
- Performance data and best practices – for collecting secondary parameters, including microbial profiling
- Latest advances – Tools to quantify a broad spectrum of contaminant degrading microorganisms and functional genes and Stable Isotope Probing (SIP)
- Sample collection and preservation – Practical and cost effective methods shared
The webinar will be approx. 1hr in length. Attendance Certificates will be provided. Complete the form on this page to sign up for this free webinar.
