‘Highly Commended’ project win at Brownfield Awards 2020

Congratulations to Soilfix for receiving Highly Commended in Category 5: Best Remediation of a smaller site at the Brownfield Awards 2020, for a joint remediation project we completed with them in East Anglia.

Soilfix picked up the award at the awards ceremony held online on the 19th of November 2020.

This former industrial site had a historic mixed plume of pesticides (including aldrin, dieldrin, and pentachlorophenol), VOCs and petroleum hydrocarbons in the groundwater. Soilfix worked closely with Ramboll and REGENESIS to deliver a tailored multi-phase remediation solution for the site, including in situ remediation using a suite of REGENESIS’ remediation technologies.

REGENESIS services team carried out the groundwater remediation works on-site which included a combination of in situ chemical oxidation, sorption and enhanced biological degradation. Click the case study and video link to find out more.

The annual Brownfield Awards are organised by Environment Analyst and recognise best practice in the brownfield, regeneration and contaminated land industry.
